Multitel Pagliero updates MJ series
11 January 2021
Multitel Pagliero is updating its aluminium MJ series of truck mounts for the European market, starting with the MJE 250, which has just been launched.
The MJE 250 has 250kg basket capacity, four extendable automatic outriggers with variable stabilization for operation on one or both sides, as well as front and rear.
With fully extended outriggers and 100kg in the basket, the platform can provide 14m horizontal outreach to the side and nearly 17m to the rear. The basket can also work in the negative area with the boom fully extended to -3.5m. The articulated jib provides further flexibility.
The MJE 250 is entirely designed and built in Multitel’s in Manta, Italy, facilities. A key component is its aluminium construction, using the company’s in-depth technological research, which it has named Aluminium Multitel. It builds on the manufacturer’s longstanding use of aluminium to provide light, rigid structures with significant height and outreach.
The high-resistance boom is produced as a single item, without welded joints, to offer extra strength. It has five sections, four of which are telescopic.
The company’s MUSA (Multitel Self-Adapting outreach) system has been integrated with the new X system. Together they combine MUSA’s outreach based on outrigger extension, weight in the cage and geometric boom position calculations, with the X variable, which adds inclination of the chassis to provide optimised envelope with a 3° chassis inclination. The aluminium alloy sub-frame is welded robotically.
The model’s standard configuration comprises single button automatic outrigger stabilization and automatic return to transport position. Also available, is the company’s remote communication system, with GPS, machine status display, parameter and remote diagnosis, through its telematics system.
The platform is currently offered on Mercedes Sprinter and Iveco Daily, both with Euro 6 D low emission engines, as well as Iveco Daily 35S14H, Mercedes Sprinter 311-314, and Isuzu M21 Ground trucks. The machine can also be fitted on trucks with more than 3.5 tonne, according to customer specifications.
